Permanent Part-Time - .8 FTEPOSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Cook is responsible to the Head Cook to ensure a high standard of service delivery for the Food
Services Department. The position includes food preparation and handling, dining room and cleanliness of food
services areas.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Journeyman cook preferred, but not required Working knowledge of preparing meals for senior populations Considerable experience in group / institutional cooking Supervisory experience preferred WHMIS and First Aid training required Food Handling course required
REQUIREMENTS:
Responsible for the preparation of food Assist in menu planning Assist dietary staff where required General organization and cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room, housekeeping and food storage areas
