Sans responsabilite de gestion, l'Assistant controleur agit comme expert(e) technique au sein de l'equipe. Il ou elle est responsable de la revision des ecritures, de la mise en place et du suivi de l'analytique des bilans, de la reconciliation approfondie des comptes, ainsi que de la consolidation des etats financiers. Le poste contribue egalement aux fins de mois, aux audits externes, et aux initiatives d'amelioration continue liees aux processus, aux systemes et a la qualite des donnees.

Principales responsabilites
Reviser les ecritures comptables, les rapprochements et les analyses prepares afin d'assurer la qualite, l'exactitude et la coherence de l'information financiere.
Mettre en place, documenter et maintenir l'analytique des bilans pour toutes les entites canadiennes, et assurer la fiabilite des postes de bilan.
Effectuer et suivre les reconciliations de comptes de bilan complexes, incluant les comptes intercompagnies, les financements et les postes cles sensibles, dans un contexte multi-systemes et multi-entites.
Preparer la consolidation mensuelle des etats financiers et contribuer a l'amelioration continue des modeles et processus de consolidation.
Participer activement aux fins de mois : analyses de variations, ajustements necessaires, production et revision de rapports financiers.
Contribuer a la preparation des dossiers d'audit externe et repondre aux demandes d'information des auditeurs.
Participer a des initiatives d'amelioration continue, telles que l'optimisation des processus comptables, la standardisation des pratiques et les projets lies aux systemes financiers.
Soutenir le Controleur corporatif dans diverses analyses, projets speciaux et taches financieres ad hoc.
Profil
Baccalaureat en comptabilite, finance ou domaine connexe.
Titre CPA requis
Minimum de 5 ans d'experience progressive en comptabilite en entreprise, idealement dans un environnement multi-entites ou multi-systemes.
Excellente comprehension du cycle comptable complet, des bilans et des normes comptables IFRS.
Maitrise d'Excel (niveau avance).
Confort dans un environnement multi systemes avec une excellente connaissance de Microsoft GP et un interet pour l'amelioration des processus et projets technologiques (migration de donnees, optimisation, automatisation).
Rigueur, souci du detail et haut standard de qualite de l'information financiere.
Excellentes capacites d'analyse et sens critique.
Bon jugement professionnel et capacite a comprendre les impacts inter-entites et inter-systemes.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Assistant Controller will play a key role in ensuring the quality and integrity of financial information within a multi-entity and multi-system environment.
Without direct management responsibilities, the Assistant Controller acts as a technical expert within the team. He or she is responsible for reviewing journal entries, implementing and maintaining balance sheet analytics, performing in-depth account reconciliations, and consolidating financial statements. The role also contributes to month-end close, external audits, and continuous improvement initiatives related to processes, systems, and data quality.

Key Responsibilities
Review accounting entries, reconciliations, and analyses prepared by the team to ensure the quality, accuracy, and consistency of financial information.
Establish, document, and maintain balance sheet analytics for all Canadian entities, ensuring the reliability of balance sheet accounts.
Perform and monitor complex balance sheet account reconciliations, including intercompany accounts, financing, and key sensitive items, in a multi-system and multi-entity environment.
Prepare the monthly consolidation of financial statements and contribute to continuous improvement of consolidation models and processes.
Actively participate in month-end close: variance analyses, required adjustments, production and review of financial reports.
Contribute to the preparation of external audit files and respond to auditors' information requests.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as optimizing accounting processes, standardizing practices, and supporting financial system-related projects.
Support the Corporate Controller with various analyses, special projects, and ad hoc financial tasks.
Profile
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA designation required.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in industry, ideally in a multi-entity or multi-system environment.
Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle, balance sheets, and IFRS standards.
Advanced proficiency in Excel.
Comfortable working in a multi-system environment, with strong knowledge of Microsoft GP and an interest in process improvement and technology projects (data migration, optimization, automation).
Strong rigor, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality financial information.
