Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry and a desire to contribute to a dynamic kitchen environment. As an Assistant Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintain high standards of food quality, and support the overall dining experience for our guests.

Duties



Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure efficient workflow. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning and development, offering creative input when appropriate. Help train new kitchen staff in food handling techniques and restaurant protocols. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting with ordering when necessary. Ensure that all dishes are presented beautifully and meet quality standards before serving. Foster a positive team environment by promoting collaboration and effective communication among staff.

Qualifications



Previous experience in a culinary role within the food service or hospitality industry is preferred. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. Knowledge of food handling practices and restaurant management principles is essential. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required. A passion for cooking and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences for guests.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.94-$20.00 per hour
