Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, along with experience in the food service industry. This role requires excellent leadership and team management skills, as well as a commitment to food safety and quality. As an Assistant Chef, you will support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards while maintaining a positive and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities



Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing high-quality meals that meet our restaurant's standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Manage inventory of food supplies, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Collaborate with the culinary team to create new menu items and improve existing recipes. Train new kitchen staff on food handling procedures, cooking techniques, and safety protocols. Monitor food presentation and portion sizes to ensure consistency and quality in every dish served. Assist in managing kitchen operations during peak service times, ensuring timely delivery of meals.

Requirements



Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting. Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards. Excellent communication skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration. Background in hospitality or restaurant management is highly desirable. Familiarity with inventory management and ordering processes within the food industry. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Passion for culinary arts with a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Pay: $17.85-$25.00 per hour
