Location: 2831 Bathurst Street, North York, M6B3A4Our companyNonna Lia is a fast-growing Italian dessert shop and cafe catered to savvy customers with a premium taste. We have expanded from 1 to 4 locations over the past 6 months and are planning to continue on this trajectory. Your opportunityWe are currently looking for an assistant Captain with experience working in a hospitality environment. This role is envisioned for someone that has an "owner's mindset" and is looking for opportunities to grow and manage a team (1 to 3 staff per shift).In this role you will perform the following activities:

• Take a leading role in activities required to produce products and run our store, providing coaching and guidance to more junior staff
• Onboarding and training new kitchen Associates, and contributing actively to their development as part of the Nonna Lia team
• Highlighting areas of improvement for kitchen Associates or Nonna Lia's processes
• Supporting with new product development and Kitchen management activities

Hours

• We work in 7-9 hour shifts, and our store is open Monday to Sunday (10AM-10PM)

• We strive to keep a relatively steady schedule for each of our associates, with a mix of morning and evening shifts and 2 consecutive days off
• 4% vacation pay, with opportunities to take extended time off (unpaid) if the schedules allow
