Job Description

Position: Assistant Bulk Manager
Location: Hamilton, Ontario.
Pay: $22 - $24.00 per hour
Group Benefits after 3 months
Job Duties:
The Assistant Bulk Manager will assist in the daily management of the Ridge Soils bulk retail department and assist customers with landscape materials purchases. This position also includes the use of numerous types of related equipment. The below is intended only as a general description and should be considered as a minimal in order to fulfill this role. Job duties are subject to job role additions and changes at any time.
Key Duties include:

• Assist Manager in the operation and management of landscape bulk products retail store.
• Assist in ensuring all essential products is stocked at all times.
• Assist in coordinating all deliveries with the Manager.
• Assist in making small deliveries with the dump truck (Isuzu).
• Assist in the supervision of staff working at the bulk division.
• Assist customers with loading of materials.
• Build and maintain strong customer relations.
• Be familiar with job descriptions of positions supervised.
• Familiar with Oakridge Policies and procedures.
• Support operations to ensure your division is profitable.
• Work in outdoor conditions.
• Keep bulk area clean and organized.
• Receive payments from customers and bring to Accounting at the end of each day.

Requirements:

• G Driver's license and 3 years CVOR driving experience.
• Clean Drivers Abstract and reliable transportation.
• 2 years experience in a sales or retail role.
• Able to operate skid steer loader.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Basic understanding of construction and landscaping.
• Available to work weekends.
• Strong knowledge of job safety and safe work habits.

This is a seasonal position that operates during spring/summer/fall seasons. Additional winter work is available.
