The Assistant Branch Manager plays a key role in supporting daily branch operations, driving new business development, maintaining strong client relationships, and assisting with warehouse and purchasing functions. This position works closely with the Branch Manager to ensure the branch meets its performance goals and delivers exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Branch Management
Assist the Branch Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations and achieving performance targets.
Act as the point of contact in the Branch Manager's absence.
Help manage staffing, scheduling, and workflow coordination.
Drive New Business Sales
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities.
Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement local sales strategies.
Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients.
Support Existing Clients
Provide exceptional service to current clients and resolve any issues efficiently.
Work with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Maintain regular contact with key accounts to ensure satisfaction and retention.
Warehouse Support
Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure inventory accuracy and timely order processing.
Monitor stock levels and assist with restocking as needed.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures in the warehouse.
Pull, pack, and ship orders for out of town and local customers when necessary.
Purchasing Support
Assist with sourcing, purchasing, and receiving of products and materials.
Track purchase orders and delivery timelines.
Maintain relationships with vendors to ensure reliable supply chain operations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in sales, operations, or team leadership roles
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Familiarity with inventory systems, purchasing, or warehouse operations is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business software systems
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred
Experience and knowledge of the pool and spa industry is considered an asset
