Job Description

The live sports and entertainment industry is unique and exciting, especially in Saskatchewan. SaskTel Centre continues to be a leader in large-scale entertainment through live sports, concerts, and other community events. We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader to join our dedicated team of passionate professionals as the Assistant Box Office Manager . The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership and customer service skills while supervising the Box Office Cashiers and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Duties include:

• Prepare schedules, interview, manage performance and train employees on systems, processes and procedures
• Ensures compliance with policies and procedures for Box Office and Ticketing operations and ensures they remain consistent with Ticketmaster and SaskTel Centre policies and procedures.
• Create, revise and facilitate all training related to systems, procedures and customer service within the box office.
• Create, modify and review manifest related to each event.
• Work closely with external promoters or/and clients to successfully facilitate show details.
• Prepare and review reports from the ticketing system for settlement.
• Document and track documentation and reporting requirements for each event.
• Ensures event-related information is entered accurately for event announcements and prepares and distributes event notices.
• Processes ticket orders and distribution for events from clients, promoters and other departments as required.
• Assists with the resolution of unusual complaints from the public in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Qualified applicants will display:

• Grade 12 with six years of progressive ticketing experience, including experience with the Ticketmaster system modules such as Archtics. Event Management Tool, TMWin, Fan User/ Presence, TM1, Scaling/Re-scaling event builds, Interpreting production CAD's

OR

• Recognized post-secondary business administration program with four years of progressive ticketing experience or other related experience
• 1- 4 year experience in managing a team in a customer service environment
• Ability to communicate effectively to create goodwill with clients, to promote events and to provide technical information to staff.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to exercise good judgement in decision-making.


The Live Events Industry is often a 24/7 business. Evening and weekend hours of work are part of the Assistant Box Office Manager's schedule. This is a full-time position with some regularity to hours. Flexibility and openness to a varying schedule is essential for consideration.
