The Position
This role will support the continuity of Banquets and Concessions operations during the Manager's absence, as required.
You will provide support leadership to ensure effective management of the beverage services on the gaming floor and in all bars, develop employees and engage and motivate the Banquet & Concession team to deliver high customer experience and product knowledge to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
Assist to ensure correct staffing levels to maximize productivity and business performance to be fully conversant in all training modules for each area
Work with the TA team to lead staffing and recruitment initiatives
Assist with the supervision of all staff and performance management process through ongoing coaching, feedback and development to motivate, engage and drive a high performing team
Assist with the control of all Liquor, wine and beer inventories, purchasing and storage
Work with Manager to keep effective control of cost of goods and labour
Assist with the creation and management of scheduling and shift requirements in accordance with operational requirements
Develop and maintain departmental quality standards and ensure they are met
Be fully conversant in all training modules for both Banquets and Concessions
Create a positive and engaging work environment people want to be a part of
Ensure that the team is working to expectations and standard.
Perform other duties as assigned
What You'll Require
Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in banquet/concession and/or bar operations
Relevant post-secondary education in Hospitality Management or another related field preferred
Smart Serve and Food Handlers certification
WHMIS (Training provided)
Eligibility for AGCO Category 1 Licensing.
Proven management experience in banquet operation and concession services
Varied experience in the hospitality industry from hotel to restaurant to bars is an asset
Experience in working in multiple outlets is an asset
Proven leadership experience successfully managing a large team, developing and motivating staff and leading by example
Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time
Ability to work in hot, cold and humid environments (indoor/outdoor) as required
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
