Entrepot Lajeunesse is a family-owned local business that has proudly served the community for over 30 years. We specialize in traditional Portuguese baked goods, with production that includes cuisine, pastries, and fresh bread. Our Laval-based warehouse supplies our stores and wholesale clients with high-quality products made fresh every day.
We are currently looking for dedicated and reliable individuals to join our overnight baking team at our Laval production facility.
Now Hiring for Two Positions:
1. Assistant Baker (Entry-Level)
Responsibilities:
Assist bakers with preparing doughs, batters, and fillings by accurately measuring and combining ingredients according to standard recipes.
Help monitor products during mixing, baking, and cooling to ensure proper texture, shape, and consistency.
Package baked goods carefully and consistently, ensuring all items meet quality and presentation standards.
Keep the workstation clean and sanitized throughout the shift, always following hygiene and food safety guidelines.
Restocks ingredients, tools, and supplies as needed to support production flow.
Follow all instructions from senior bakers and the production manager while demonstrating a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
Qualifications:
No formal baking experience is required; however, previous kitchen or bakery experience is an asset.
Must be able to lift 25+ lbs and stand for extended periods during the overnight shift.
Attention to detail, good communication, and teamwork skills are essential.
Languages: English and/or French required -- Portuguese is considered an asset.
Compensation:
$18- $20 per hour, based on qualifications
2. Experienced Baker
Responsibilities:
Prepare a variety of baked goods from scratch, including doughs, pastries, and bread, by following our recipes and adjusting techniques as needed for large-scale production.
Manage the proofing, shaping, and baking processes, ensuring optimal timing and temperature to achieve consistent product quality.
Inspect all finished products for appearance, taste, and texture, adjusting as necessary to maintain high standards.
Oversee and assist in organizing the nightly workflow to meet production targets and deadlines.
Provide guidance and support to junior team members, helping with training and promoting best practices on the production floor.
Ensure a clean and organized workspace and adhere strictly to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety protocols.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional baking experience in a commercial or artisanal environment is required.
Strong technical knowledge of baking processes, ingredients, and tools.
Ability to work independently and manage production timelines during overnight shifts.
Physically capable of handling repetitive tasks, lifting heavy items, and standing for extended hours.
Languages: English and/or French required -- Portuguese is considered an asset.
Compensation
: $20 - $25 per hour, based on qualifications

Nous recrutons pour deux postes :
1. Aide-boulanger(ere) (Debutant)
Responsabilites :
Aider les boulangers a preparer les pates, appareils et garnitures en mesurant et combinant les ingredients selon les recettes standard.
Surveiller les produits pendant le melange, la cuisson et le refroidissement pour garantir la texture, la forme et la consistance.
Emballer les produits de boulangerie soigneusement en respectant les normes de qualite et de presentation.
Maintenir un poste de travail propre et desinfecte tout au long du quart, en suivant les regles d'hygiene et de salubrite.
Reapprovisionner les ingredients, outils et fournitures necessaires a la production.
Suivre les instructions des boulangers seniors et du responsable de production, en montrant un desir d'apprendre et d'evoluer dans le poste.
Qualifications :
Aucune experience formelle en boulangerie n'est exigee, mais une experience en cuisine ou en boulangerie est un atout.
Capacite a soulever plus de 25 lb (11 kg) et a rester debout pendant de longues periodes durant la nuit.
Sens du detail, bonne communication et esprit d'equipe essentiels.
Langues : anglais et/ou francais requis -- le portugais est un atout.
Remuneration : 18 $ - 20 $/heure, selon les qualifications
2. Boulanger(ere) Experimente(e)
Responsabilites :
Preparer une variete de produits de boulangerie a partir de recettes traditionnelles, en ajustant les techniques pour la production a grande echelle.
Gerer les etapes de fermentation, faconnage et cuisson pour assurer une qualite constante.
Verifier les produits finis (aspect, gout, texture) et ajuster au besoin pour respecter nos standards eleves.
Organiser le flux de travail durant la nuit afin de respecter les delais de production.
Encadrer les membres juniors de l'equipe, participer a leur formation et promouvoir les bonnes pratiques.
Maintenir un espace de travail propre et conforme aux regles de securite alimentaire et d'hygiene.
Qualifications :
Minimum de 3 a 5 ans d'experience professionnelle en boulangerie (artisanale ou commerciale).
Excellente maitrise des techniques de boulangerie, des ingredients et des outils.
Autonomie et capacite a gerer les delais de production durant le quart de nuit.
Endurance physique (taches repetitives, charges lourdes, station debout prolongee).
Langues : anglais et/ou francais requis -- le portugais est un atout.
Remuneration :
20 $ - 25 $/heure, selon les qualifications
