Asset Specialist - Gas Turbine & Diesel

Key Responsibilities:





Application of the approved corporate maintenance philosophy in the identification, implementation, and evaluation of maintenance tactics, including the development of the maintenance plans, schedules, resource allocation plans.



Preparation and monitoring of operating and capital budgets.



Establishing and monitoring performance indices.



Establishing equipment and operating standards.



Review of predictive, preventative and corrective maintenance information.



Assist operations and engineering personnel with troubleshooting of operational issues.



Assist with establishment and management of gas turbine asset hierarchy.



Working with technical support groups to ensure that recurring maintenance problems, repairs, modifications, and upgrades are economically and technically justified and focused to targeted performance.



Preparation of reports related to failure analysis; performance indices trends, efficiencies, planned versus actual work, what if scenarios, internal and external bench marking, etc.



Managing maintenance contracts, partnering agreements, and service contracts.



You are responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the company's Safety and Health Program and responsible for any environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner.







What We're Looking For:





You have the ability to plan, lead, organize and control in a highly technical environment.



You have an in-depth working knowledge of maintenance tactics and cost benefit techniques.



You have good verbal and written communication skills and good working knowledge of computers and software.







What You'll Need:





An engineering degree or demonstrate technical knowledge and experience.



Five (5)years of progressively responsible and relevant experience in the electric utility industry.



Experience with the operation and maintenance of Gas Turbine systems an asset.
