Key Responsibilities:
Client & Site Liaison
Serve as the primary point of contact with site teams, providing timely updates, resolving issues, and ensuring smooth execution of asset-recovery activities.
Asset Verification & Documentation
Inspect, verify, and record detailed specifications, condition assessments, and quantities of surplus materials.
Capture high-quality photographs and accurate descriptions to support transparent and market-ready listings.
Coordinate site visits, inspections, and test runs for prospective buyers.
Respond promptly to technical and logistical inquiries to maintain buyer interest and transaction momentum.
Inventory Oversight & Logistics
Track materials from identification through sale or reclassification.
Ensure proper segregation, labeling, handling, and secure storage.
Coordinate with transportation providers to arrange timely and compliant shipments.
Reporting & Governance
Maintain accurate records of transactions and asset status.
Provide regular activity reports to support operational oversight and decision-making.
Value Recovery Optimization
Identify marketable assets versus scrap; recommend strategies to maximize returns and minimize waste.
Process & Service Improvement
Recommend improvements to asset-recovery workflows, tools, and client service practices in collaboration with internal teams.
Qualifications
5-10 years'
experience in supply chain, materials management, asset recovery, warehouse operations, field service, and/or logistics.
Strong knowledge of industrial and heavy equipment (e.g., oil and gas, mining, construction, manufacturing) and the ability to interpret technical specifications.
Proven ability to manage site-based inspections, logistics coordination, and multiple concurrent priorities.
Proficiency with inventory management systems, mobile inspection tools, spreadsheets, and CRM platforms.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with client personnel, buyers, and cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented with a track record of accurate documentation and data integrity.
Ability to work in field environments, including remote sites, yards, and warehouses; capable of moderate lifting.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel across northern Alberta.
Commitment to safety with knowledge of applicable health, safety, and environmental standards.
Preferred Experiences/Background
Post-secondary training in supply chain, logistics, or a technical discipline (e.g., oilfield operations, power engineering, heavy equipment mechanics).
Industry safety certifications such as H2S Alive, First Aid, and WHMIS.
Experience supporting clients in energy, mining, or industrial sectors.
