Tesla has an immediate opening for an Assembly Supervisor to join the Production Engineering team at the Tesla Toronto Automation, ON
We are seeking an energetic, skilled, cost-conscious, team-oriented individual to be responsible for the performance of our Assembly Technicians. The incumbent will manage a team of technicians to ensure that they perform at a high level while meeting the needs of the production floor. The individual will be responsible for all Assembly related metrics for their shift. They will performance manage their team to generate the highest value from every employee while maintaining a high level of technical ability and driving towards quality and schedule.
Shift: Monday-Thursday 3:30 PM-1:00 AM, Friday 2:30 PM-11:00 PM. Afternoon shift has a 10% shift differential.
What You'll Do
Build and lead a motivated team focused on high performance and quality output
Collaborate with day shift supervisors to align on priorities and maintain schedules
Oversee staffing activities including interviewing, hiring, training, and performance management
Evaluate team performance, attendance, and conduct performance reviews as needed
Drive continuous improvement and maintain strict 5S standards for cleanliness and organization
Support new equipment installation, startup, troubleshooting, and long-term issue resolution
Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures while working around hazardous areas and materials
What You'll Bring
Two years of college or technical school, or equivalent work experience
Two to four years of supervisory experience preferred
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and controls
Reliable, adaptable, and proactive with strong attention to detail and communication skills
Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and providing constructive feedback to team members
Able to travel domestically and internationally with a valid passport; travel expenses covered
Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
