About the Role

LJ Welding Automation is seeking a reliable, safety-focused Labourer to support daily assembly shop operations. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient working environment while assisting with material handling, equipment operation, and general labour tasks.

This position is ideal for someone who is hardworking, adaptable, and eager to contribute to a high-performance manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general housekeeping to maintain clean and safe work areas. Handle materials, organize inventory, and assist with movement of products and supplies. Support product care, preservation, and handling of customer property. Conduct pre-use inspections of equipment. Operate powered mobile equipment and overhead cranes (training provided). Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Complete any required paperwork accurately and on time.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license CSTS certification Forklift and overhead crane training (or willingness to obtain) Aerial platform and fall protection training (asset) Basic computer skills Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English Warehouse or mechanical experience considered an asset

Working Conditions

Work is performed primarily in LJ Welding with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and moving machinery. Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as dictated by job hazard analyses. Tasks may involve standing, walking, and performing repetitive motions for extended periods of time. Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of materials and equipment up to 50 lbs (23 kg); use of cranes, hoists, or forklifts may be required for heavier items. Work may require bending, crouching, reaching, and working in awkward positions. Employees may be exposed to varying temperatures depending on the season and shop ventilation. Strict adherence to safety protocols and hazard controls is required at all times. The environment can be fast-paced, deadline-driven, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Overtime or shift work may be required.
