Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Assembler / Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of machining processes, including being able to use a manual lathe, radial drill and band saws . This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work with various materials and machinery to produce high-quality components that meet strict specifications.

Duties

Operate lathes, drills and saws to manufacture precision parts according to engineering specifications. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate production. Electrical knowledge an asset Assembly work in the final process of manufacturing Apply GD&T principles to maintain tolerances and quality standards. Conduct electrical discharge machining (EDM) when required for specific applications. Use precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM), to verify dimensions of finished products. Maintain tooling and hand tools in good working condition, ensuring efficient operation. Collaborate with team members in assembly processes and lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency. Adhere to safety protocols while operating machinery and handling materials, including the use of power tools and forklifts when necessary. Engage in continuous improvement practices within the manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Assembler / Machinist in a manufacturing setting is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Basic math skills are necessary for calculations related to machining tasks. Experience with welding techniques is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
