We are seeking an experienced

Assembler

to join our dynamic team at our Casegoods Division in Kitchener.

HOURS OF WORK: MONDAY - FRIDAY, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Location - Kitchener

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assemble case goods from component parts according to assembly drawings and in accordance with company Quality Assurance Procedures

Change damaged or unacceptable parts on cases, as needed

Sub-assemble cases; assemble drawers and fit drawer fronts

Make Team Leader/Engineering aware of quality and/or machining problems encountered

Meet/exceed established piecework standards

Follow priorities for assembly (rush order, ship dates, etc.)

Observe safe working practices in accordance with Krug Health and Safety; maintain a neat and orderly work area.

Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader

QUALIFICATIONS:

Grade 12 education or equivalent experience

Able to read blueprints/drawings; good math/measuring skills

Good language communication skills both written & verbal.

Experience using woodworking equipment (ie. table saw, drill press, air driver, chisel, staple gun)

Experience using pneumatic/hand tools.

Familiar with woodworking assembly components, e.g. hardware dowels, mini-fixes

Working knowledge of sub-assembly components (drawer build and drawer fit)

Good decision-making skills required to deal with quality and production issues; able to assess cases and make repairs

Strong manual dexterity required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Full skill set is required to obtain the full rate of the position.
