Role Overview:
As a hydro-vac Assembler at Hydro-Spade, you will fit and assemble components according to detailed engineering drawings. We are looking for a mechanically inclined individual with hands-on experience working on equipment. This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality workmanship, reliability, and the ability to work collaboratively with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Component Assembly:
Use hand, power, and pneumatic tools to fit and assemble parts based on engineering drawings, schematics, and parts lists.
Parts Handling:
Carefully handle and assemble painted parts, including purchased pumps, hydraulics, and other critical parts, ensuring they are not damaged during the process.
Equipment Handling:
Operate lifting devices for large component assembly.
Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve issues with fabricated steel parts and hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems during assembly.
Quality Assurance:
Verify the functionality and quality of assembled equipment, making necessary adjustments or repairs.
Team Collaboration:
Work effectively with team members, ensuring clear communication and efficient workflow.
Safety:
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
Mechanical Aptitude:
Proven mechanical skills with hands-on experience in heavy or mobile equipment environments, such as farming, heavy equipment maintenance, or truck-mounted systems. Experience assembling, servicing, or troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical systems on hydro-vac or similar equipment is considered an asset.
Technical Knowledge:
Ability to read and understand assembly instructions, engineering drawings, and parts lists to ensure accurate assembly.
Tool Proficiency:
Must have own set of tools and be proficient in using a variety of hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
Proficient with torque and calibration tools to ensure precise assembly.
Attention to Detail:
Handle all parts with care, particularly painted parts, purchased pumps, and hydraulics, to maintain product quality.
Adaptability:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing demands.
Physical Stamina:
Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving heavy components; comfortable with standing, climbing, kneeling, and bending.
Dependability:
Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high work standards.
Wage:
$25-35/hr, depending on experience

Monday - Thursday - 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
Friday - 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
