JOB SUMMARY



This position combines responsibilities for both

Shipper/Receiver - Level I and the Assembler role

within our manufacturing operations. The incumbent will split their time equally between assisting the Shipping/Receiving Lead in processing shipments and performing general assembly duties. The role requires maintaining accuracy in shipment processing, adhering to safety guidelines, and ensuring efficient communication with supervisors.

Education & Qualifications:



High school diploma or equivalent relevant experience. Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Forklift certification is an asset. WHMIS (2015) safety certification or equivalent would be an asset.

Shipper/Receiver Level 1 Responsibilities:



Assist the Shipping/Receiving Lead in processing incoming and outgoing shipments. Follow guidelines for security practices within the shipping area. Maintain warehouse housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe work environment. Build shipping boxes/packaging and maintain shipping/receiving areas. Assist with cataloging documentation, counting, and inventory audits. Follow current standards and procedures. Maintain a safe work environment. Perform other duties as assigned.

Assembler Responsibilities:



Perform general assembly duties as directed by the Assembly Lead. Complete electronic assemblies and production assignments with a focus on quality and adherence to schedules. Comply with occupational health and safety legislation. Commitment to Lean/Six Sigma principles and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain professionalism in a high-paced manufacturing environment. Perform all work tasks with attention to detail and quality standards. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Knowledge:



Team-oriented with adaptability and accountability. Service-oriented with attention to detail. Willingness to learn and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent oral communication skills and ability to comprehend directions in English. Ability to operate equipment related to shipping/receiving and assembly tasks.

Position Conditions:



Perform repetitive tasks such as counting product, packing, and building shipping containers. Requires a reasonable amount of standing and movement around the manufacturing facility. Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals. Ability to lift or move up to 70 lbs may be required.
