Job Description

Maple Leaf Construction Ltd. is currently hiring a seasonal

ROLLER OPERATOR

for our Country Asphalt Crew (work outside of Winnipeg)

Primary Responsibilities:



Safely operate roller in continuous overlapping passes over asphalt to be compacted to desired depth and smoothness.

Performs daily preventative maintenance inspections and safety checks to identify any potential mechanical issues and advise the Foreman; assist and/or perform basic maintenance

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures

Assists other employees when required.

Requirements:



2+ years experience operating a roller.

Ability to work in various weather conditions as the work is outdoors.

Problem solver and ability to work independently

Hold a valid class 5 driver's license with a reliable means of transportation

Ability to be away from home for up to 10 days at a time

Punctual and able to work an average of 10 - 12 hours per day and occasional weekends.
