Asphalt Plant Manager

to oversee multiple plant operations. Reporting to the General Manager, this role will ensure efficient production, high-quality output, and a safe working environment across all locations.

Summary

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the

Asphalt Plant Manager

will oversee the production, maintenance, and staffing of multiple asphalt plant sites. This role is key to ensuring smooth operations, high-quality output, and a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily plant operations and production, including crushing activities, to meet output targets and maximize profitability. Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to align production schedules with customer demand. Work closely with Quality Control teams to ensure materials meet required specifications and standards. Manage subcontractors (e.g., welders, electricians) and ensure timely, high-quality work. Enforce company policies and maintain strong safety protocols at all sites. Participate in hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management for both unionized and non-union staff. Oversee budgets related to plant operations, maintenance, repairs, and capital projects. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards. Maintain strong relationships with vendors and industry associations.

Qualifications

A proven background in asphalt manufacturing operations is required. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Leadership experience with the ability to coach and mentor diverse teams. Basic computer literacy.

Pay: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
