Reporting to a Foreman, an Asphalt Plant Laborer is responsible for ensuring the plant is kept clean, greased and is in good working order. Preforming maintenance of plant equipment, on conveyors, electric motors, gear boxes, feeder bins, drum mixers and other related plant equipment. The Asphalt Plant Laborer will need the ability to work in a team environment, perform physical labor, learn to operate heavy equipment (skid steer and loader experience preferred), and work long hours during the asphalt season.

How You'll Add Value

Actively contribute to the safety culture, promoting a safe and productive work environment. Inspect and grease plant daily Clean up materials around plant sites (sand, gravel, asphalt, etc.) Unloading hot asphalt products Perform plant maintenance and inspections Learn to operate a skid steer and rubber tire loader Strong mechanical ability Ability to work from heights Practice safe work procedures with a positive attitude Mechanically inclined Reliable and strong work ethic

What You Bring

6+ months of experience as a construction laborer is required, with asphalt experience strongly preferred Able to commute to and from the plant

Note:

Plant locations are not easily accessible by public transportation Basic computer skills required
