Job Summary

The Asbestos Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of asbestos management, including inspection, removal, and remediation processes. This role requires a strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in asbestos handling and disposal. The ideal candidate will possess experience in construction and restoration, with a focus on maintaining a safe work environment while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Duties

Conduct thorough inspections to identify asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) in residential and commercial properties. Develop and implement management plans for the safe handling and removal of asbestos. Supervise and coordinate asbestos abatement projects, ensuring all work is performed according to regulatory standards. Train and educate staff on proper asbestos handling techniques, safety protocols, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Collaborate with contractors and other professionals to ensure effective project execution. Maintain accurate records of inspections, abatement activities, and compliance documentation. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely during inspection and remediation processes. Ensure that all cleaning procedures are followed to minimize contamination risks.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction or restoration work, particularly related to hazardous materials management. Strong knowledge of asbestos regulations and safety standards. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to construction and remediation tasks. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Strong communication skills to effectively convey information to team members and clients. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Certification in asbestos management or related field is preferred but not mandatory

Pay: $32.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 50 per week
