Summary

We are seeking a Asbestos Tech/Labourer to join our team at Winmar Barrie/Orillia. In this role, you will assist with various restoration projects, contributing to the recovery process for our clients. Your hard work will play a vital role in restoring properties and making a difference in the lives of those affected by damage.

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently remove asbestos-containing materials and mould contamination in compliance with provincial regulations Set up proper containment using negative air machines and HEPA filtration systems Wear and maintain proper personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators and full-body suits Prepare and load job materials and equipment for daily assignments Maintain a clean and organized job site and company vehicle Assist in the restoration of properties affected by fire, water, and other damages. Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various tasks. Perform cleaning and restoration duties as directed by supervisors. Support skilled tradespeople in renovations and construction activities. Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

Valid

Asbestos Abatement Worker Certification

(Type 1, 2, or 3) in Ontario Experience in

mould remediation

or similar environmental work (preferred) Knowledge of hazardous material handling and disposal procedures Valid

Ontario G-class driver's license

with a clean abstract Strong attention to detail and a positive team attitude Experience with power tools and hand tools is essential. Ability to perform physical labor and work in various conditions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work. Previous experience in construction or restoration is an asset.
