Peter I. Waldmann Professional Corporation is a sole practitioner law office specializing in civil litigation. Our practice encompasses a wide array of matters, including class actions, tortious claims, contractual disputes, solicitor negligence, etc.

This position offers an invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on-experience in many types of civil litigation, such as class actions, and develop your skills in a supportive yet challenging environment.

We are seeking an Articling Student who:

Is registered in the Lawyer Licensing Process and eligible for articling under the Law Society of Ontario. Possesses the ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a high-pressure environment. Is eager to learn and takes initiative, Has strong research and drafting skills. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
As an Articling Student, you will:

Be actively involved in cases, engaging with clients, attending hearings and trials, and assisting with legal files. Draft legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, factums, memoranda, and other materials. Conduct legal research. Manage the lawyer's calendar, including scheduling examinations for discovery, motions, mediations, pre-trials, trials, and other key appointments. Handle general correspondence. Maintain and organize client files. Communicate effectively with clients. Prepare bills. Perform occasional dictation tasks.

Location: 183 Augusta Avenue, walking distance to Kensington Market, Toronto. Compensation: Salary exemption received from Law Society of Ontario.
