About Us
ARTSHU Art Studio is a Vancouver-based art education studio focused on high-quality foundational art training for children and youth. We combine Eastern and Western art education methods and develop our own curriculum in-house. Our programs include drawing, color, creative composition, and visual storytelling for students ages 6-15.
Position Summary
We are looking for an Art Teacher who can teach comprehensive art classes and also participate in curriculum development. The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching, understands age-appropriate learning needs, and can create a warm, structured, inspiring classroom.
Responsibilities
Teach small-group art classes for three age groups:
Ages 6-8
Ages 8-10Ages 10-13
Deliver lessons in areas such as drawing, sketching, color, mixed media, creative illustration, and basic art appreciation. Design and develop lesson plans, class demos, and teaching materials. Adjust teaching content and pace based on age and skill level. Support students' artistic growth in both technical skills and creative thinking. Communicate progress and class focus to parents and the studio team when needed.Qualifications
Background in Fine Arts, Art Education, Visual Arts, Illustration, Design, or related field. Experience teaching children in a classroom or studio setting. Ability to independently plan curriculum and create teaching materials. Strong classroom presence: patient, encouraging, reliable. Ability to manage different personalities and energy levels in a positive way. Bilingual (English / Mandarin) is an asset, but not required.
