Summary

Our Creative Services division is currently looking for a visionary mind to help lead our in-house graphic design team at STEMCELL, and assist us in our mission to deliver life sciences products that enable groundbreaking scientific research across the globe.

We\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x99re looking for an Art Director to guide several accomplished designers in making sure our marketing materials are top-tier: just like our products. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to defining, conceptualizing and creating graphic design assets from concept to completion, and support STEMCELL\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x99s overall brand and marketing strategies. This is a highly collaborative role with other stakeholders across the company, as well as with Creative Services team members, managing and mentoring direct reports.

With a strong ability to both take and give direction, the Art Director will work creatively, cohesively, and synergistically with the other Art Directors and Creative Director to align, evolve, and implement STEMCELL\'s visual brand identity. You\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x99ll also have a global impact, overseeing STEMCELL\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x99s international branding with specific focus on the Asia Pacific region; verbal and written fluency in Mandarin is a fundamental requirement. Duties and Responsibilities

Direct, conceptualize, and create artwork from concept to completion to support STEMCELL\'s brand identity, marketing strategies, and business goals

Guide and inspire members of the Creative Services team and stakeholders at all levels to continuously serve and evolve STEMCELL\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x99s visual brand by keeping informed of market trends (including with an international lens)

Function in both a leadership and highly creative capacity, acting with confidence, competency, and comfort working in ambiguity, with high capacity to adapt to change and offer direction and clarity through innovative design solutions with minimal direction\xc3\x82

Seamlessly balance multiple projects with varying timelines, urgency, and complexity across a team of direct reports to meet deadlines and business needs

Lead, manage, coach, develop and evaluate direct reports through regular one-on-one and team meetings; set team goals, conduct performance reviews; make compensation recommendations for direct reports

Knowledge and Qualifications

Excellent design skills with experience conceptualizing original and effective campaigns and designing across disciplines (print, UX/UI, packaging, and environmental graphics), as well as the ability to coach others to bring out the best in their design

Experience working for a corporate brand and excellent ability to establish, navigate, and enforce internal processes to facilitate exceptional design solutions when working with multiple stakeholders

Knowledge of design, marketing, and branding within the Asian market; fluent in written and spoken Mandarin

Post-secondary Certificate or Diploma in a related field, or business with 8+ years experience, culminating in expert knowledge of: Google Suite, Mac and PC environments, Adobe Creative Suite

Working knowledge of project management software such as Jira, Teamwork, or Asana
