About the Role

This is an opportunity for a graphic designer to learn art direction in the health advertising industry. The Art Direction Intern provides key support for all brands within a healthcare marketing agency. They are responsible for assisting Art Directors who manage the evolution of the branding through design and concept development. They collaborate within a multi-functional team that includes Art Directors, Medical and Creative Copywriters, as well as Client Services, to deliver the best results.

As a 3- to 4-month full-time internship, this is a remarkable opportunity for a creative and curious person to learn from a bright, collaborative team dedicated to pushing the envelope in healthcare advertising to bring freshness and excitement to a highly regulated industry. The challenges are many and varied, with brands in both Canadian and global markets, and communications for HCPs, patients, consumers, and more.

What You\'ll Do

  • Support Art Directors: making updates to existing pieces, applying client comments, copy updates, developing French layout from approved English layouts, sourcing images, formatting PowerPoint client and Agency presentation, etc
  • Working in collaboration with senior team members to brainstorm and concept
  • Execute layouts to deliver on objectives of project briefs; updates as needed
  • Collaborate with copywriters and production teams

What You\'ll Need

  • A minimum of 1-year of related education or work experience is required, along with an interest in the Canadian healthcare field
  • Relevant areas of study include Visual Arts/Graphic Design
  • Team player who is eager to collaborate and mindful of others
  • Strong graphic design skills and attention to detail
  • Solutions-oriented and resourceful
  • Demonstrate skill in conceptual development and design when new creative is required
  • Interest in science, health and marketing, with a desire to keep learning
  • Meticulous \xe2\x80\x93 attention to detail is a must
  • Avid listener, learner and contributor
