As an
Area Sales Manager
, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving all sales activities within an assigned territory. This is a hands-on leadership role combining direct customer engagement, deal closing, and strategic oversight of the sales function. The Sales Manager builds strong customer relationships, leads and coaches a small sales team, coordinates closely with operations and estimating, and ensures customer satisfaction from quotation through project completion.

About the role:
Actively pursue, manage, negotiate, and close sales opportunities with customers.
Track, grow, and protect market share while identifying new opportunities.
Conduct market analysis and gather competitor activity to adapt sales strategies.
Prepare sales forecasts aligned with production and operational capabilities.
Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with customers, contractors, distributors, and other stakeholders.
Visit customers regularly to understand business needs and ensure satisfaction.
Address customer issues and concerns promptly and professionally.
Attend industry association meetings, trade events, and networking functions (i.e. NCHCA, OCA, CCPPA).
Represent the company through organizing customer meetings, site visits, and relationship-building activities.
Ensure quotes are prepared accurately, competitively, and in a timely manner.
Maintain familiarity with all jobs being quoted and awarded within the territory.
Follow up on awarded and lost bids to support continuous improvement.
Lead or support contract negotiations to ensure alignment with company policies.
Ensure smooth handoff from sales to operations and proactive management of delivery or execution issues.
Lead, motivate, coach, and support sales team to achieve individual and collective goals.
Provide ongoing performance feedback and training.
Foster a high-performance, customer-focused sales culture.
Support product knowledge development
Collaborate closely with Estimating, Operations, Production, Engineering, Logistics, Marketing, and Project Management teams.
Ensure alignment between sales commitments and operational capabilities.
Prepare and submit regular sales reports, performance updates, and market insights to senior leadership.
Analyze sales data and customer feedback to make data-driven recommendations.
Travel within the assigned region as required to support sales activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or post-secondary education preferred in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Sales, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
5+ years experience as a Sales Manager and/or demonstrated experience in a senior sales role in precast sales, business development or account management.
Experience in precast concrete or related construction/manufacturing industries preferred
Bilingual fluency (French/English) considered an asset to support customers in bilingual markets
Excellent written and verbal communications skills along with strong presentation, negotiation and persuasion skills.
Must have a valid drivers' license and ability to travel over 20% of the time
Target Compensation
The total target compensation for this role is from $ 120,000.00 - $ 150,000.00 CAD Annual. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
