Our Terra Nova Team is looking for an Area Manager Operations! You will provide leadership to the production operators in all activities on the Terra Nova FPSO, and will be responsible for all production operations, control of work processes and equipment preparation for maintenance and interface with other area managers and personnel to ensure safety and efficiency in all activities on the Terra Nova FPSO according to established procedures and regulations.
Minimum Requirements:Minimum of 7 years related experience in the oil and gas/petrochemical industry; offshore experience is preferred
Engineering technologist diploma or related industry certification
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
Experience with operator field tools for monitoring operator tasks and equipment logs
Understanding of wells, subsea systems, flowlines, separation, compression, safety systems and utility systems
Working knowledge of distributed control systems and computerized control/safety systems and quality processes
Thorough understanding of control of work processes and systems
Familiar with computerized maintenance management systems (SAP S4, Field Operations and Enablon)
Maintain mandatory training and certification for continued offshore work
Key Accountabilities:Lead all production operations, including supervision of process operators and planning, coordination, and communication of all shift activities onboard the Terra Nova FPSO
Troubleshoot problems in the plant to ensure production reduction or downtime is minimized
Perform and/or support hands on duties of a PCS or production operator dictated by operational requirements
Identify process and facility improvement opportunities to enhance safety, production reliability or reduce production cost
Interfaces with maintenance and vessel groups to ensure all field operations are performed safely and efficiently
Ensure control of work process is followed in the field, and documentation and records are maintained according to the control of work system
Complete competency assessments of production operators in each operating area, including personnel development
Support procedural development for new operating equipment
Core member of the offshore emergency command team including on scene command
Environmental monitoring, compliance and reporting on daily basis
Location and other Key Details:This job is located offshore and will travel via helicopter to the Terra Nova FPSO with periodic travel via supply boat; it is an expectation that prior to offshore travel, the incumbent would be compliant with mandatory safety training as outlined Section 2 of the CAPP Standard Practice for the training and qualifications of personnel
You will work a 3 week on / 3 week off schedule, 12-hour shifts
This position is safety sensitive
Qualified residents of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador will be given first consideration in the staffing of this position
