Area Manager - Multi-Brand QSR Operations

KarFoods Inc. is a growing multi-brand food service operator, currently managing A&W Restaurant #1632, with plans to open a new location in 2026 and potentially two additional locations in 2026-2027. Position Summary

The Area Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple restaurant locations. This role is responsible for ensuring brand standards, operational performance, financial results, and team development are consistently met. The Area Manager will act as the primary operational liaison between KarFoods Inc., Company Restaurant Managers, and franchisor partners, including A&W and Pizza Pizza.

Key Responsibilities

Lead operational performance across multiple restaurant and retail food locations. Ensure compliance with brand standards, food safety regulations, and guest experience expectations. Coach, develop, and hold Restaurant Managers accountable for results. Drive sales growth, labour efficiency, and food cost control. Conduct regular site visits, operational audits, and performance reviews. Act as the primary operational liaison between KarFoods Inc., Company Restaurant Managers, and corporate franchisor partners, including A&W and Pizza Pizza, ensuring alignment with brand standards, operational priorities, and performance expectations. Monitor KPIs and implement action plans to improve operational results.
Qualifications

5+ years' experience in multi-unit QSR or retail food operations. Proven ability to lead geographically dispersed teams. Strong understanding of brand audits, food safety, and operational excellence. Solid P&L and KPI management experience. Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary: based on experience. Performance-based bonus - after a 6-month probationary period. Vehicle support Business travel expenses reimbursed in accordance with company policy.
Location & Eligibility

Role is based in Edmonton, Alberta. Extensive travel is required across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and the Yukon. Candidates must currently reside in Canada and be legally eligible to work in Canada.
