Job Description

Purpose:




The Architectural Technologist plays a pivotal role in contributing to the architectural design process for new buildings, utilizing technical expertise and design tools to ensure efficient project execution. They collaborate closely with architects, consultants, and the construction team to address design issues and implement effective solutions in real-time.


Responsibilities:




Contribute to the architectural design of new buildings, leveraging technical knowledge and design tools such as REVIT and AutoCAD. Prepare drawings primarily in REVIT and occasionally in AutoCAD, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications. Identify and proactively prevent design issues, providing viable solutions in a timely manner. Collaborate closely with architects and other consultants as required throughout the design process. Work in tandem with the construction team to address design questions and issues promptly during project execution. Communicate design concerns effectively and consistently, facilitating seamless coordination among project stakeholders. Review shop drawings to verify compliance with design intent and project requirements. Stay updated on new products and technologies relevant to architectural design and construction operations. Conduct investigations into new product options to enhance project efficiency and quality. Fulfill other duties as assigned to support project objectives and team goals.

Requirements:




Technical diploma in architecture or a related field. Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT design tools is essential. Solid understanding of building codes and regulations. Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in design documentation. Proven ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Strong command of written and spoken English; French language skills are advantageous.
