Are you interested in large-scale (100K sq ft, one hectare) projects involving cutting edge technology: solving ecommerce and logistics design challenges for top manufactures & distribution centers?

Our client is mid sized architectural firm specializing in large industrial projects that focus on functionality and precision; large exciting projects with famous distributors focused on manufacturing and distribution, ensuring that we all get the items we order online in a timely way.

They seek a candidate with the following background;

• Bachelor of Architecture or Architectural Technologist certification
• 5+ Canadian years\' experience dealing a variety of moderate to complex projects; preference to candidates with industrial projects; otherwise a mix of complex commercial, shopping malls, mid-rise residential or institutional projects
• Must have a portfolio that demonstrates detailing and design excellence
• An interest to work on large scale industrial projects
• Intermediate to advanced AutoCAD skills; ability to anticipate design/compliance issues that impact scheduling or budget concerns
• Strong technical knowledge of construction detailing, Ontario Building Code and building science
• Ability to lead and work within a team
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with various consultants to establish a scope of work which translates to a functional design
• Efficiency in collaborating with design and production teams to produce fully coordinated architectural working drawings; review and approve shop drawings
• Problem solving mindset and ability to work with suppliers to stay up to date on product specifications
