WADE is looking for an

Architectural and Structural Technologist

to join our growing team in Edmonton. Key Responsibilities



Conduct and assist with building envelope, roofing, and structural condition assessments and targeted investigations Liaise with clients, contractors, and sub-consultants at all stages of the project Prepare and assist with preparation of engineering documents, schedules, or reports Prepare and assist with plans, drawings, contracts, and technical specifications Perform and assist with project document reviews (drawings, specifications, shop drawings, submittals, etc.) Interpret and analyze field review data to evaluate and make recommendations Perform field performance testing (water penetration, air leakage, thermography, hammer sounding, etc.) Perform field reviews and manage deficiency list Conduct contract administration tasks

Education and Skills



Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or Technology Diploma or Certificate in Architecture, Civil, or Construction Proficient in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office 365 programs including Word and Excel Proficient with Autodesk programs such as AutoCAD and Revit Knowledge of current building and energy codes, ASTM, and CSA Standards Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation are required Knowledge of wood frame and concrete construction Experience in building envelope design and construction Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deliverable-based environment Effective organizational and time management skills Demonstrates effective communication skills - both written and verbal Self-motivated, fast learner with the desire to continually learn and grow Inquisitive, clear thinker who can determine what is required and can draw rational conclusions from the information available Aptitude for working with existing facilities and new construction
