Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Metal Worker to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in various metalworking techniques. This role involves operating machinery, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring high-quality standards throughout the production process.

Duties

Operate and maintain CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and plasma cutting equipment. Perform CNC programming for precision metal fabrication. Utilize hand tools and machinery such as press brake machines and cranes for metal shaping and assembly. Conduct quality inspections to ensure adherence to specifications and standards. Read and interpret blueprints to accurately execute designs. Engage in welding processes to join metal components effectively. Apply basic math skills for measurements and calculations during machining tasks. Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and workflow.

Experience

Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on metalworking. Proficiency in operating forklifts and other heavy machinery is preferred. Familiarity with CNC laser cutting, CNC programming, plasma cutting, and welding techniques. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Experience with quality inspection processes and assembly techniques is advantageous. Ability to use calipers and other measuring tools accurately.
