Role:
Architectural Sales Professional – Flooring Adhesives Territory: Toronto, Canada surrounding area The Architectural Sales Professional works with H.B. Fuller Construction Products sales professionals across a diverse range of construction related markets and end-use applications. You’ll enhance our customers’ productivity, efficiency, and quality through our products, technologies, and services. You will be the architectural liaison between our customers and the larger H.B. Fuller Construction Adhesives team; R&D, sales, technical service, manufacturing, and marketing. Career Summary:

  • Identify and secure HB Fuller branded flooring related product specifications with Architects, Designers, and Specifiers
  • Support the HB Fuller Sales Representatives in the identification and support of key contractors involved with major specified projects in assigned geographic market
  • Exhibit at regional and national Architectural tradeshows, develop effective tradeshow displays, print advertisements and direct mail pieces with support from Marketing
  • Be technically proficient in waterproofing and moisture control systems
Project Support
  • Maintain a broad based and in-depth knowledge of competitive products and the technology involved in the building and construction market reporting on technology trends in the marketplace
  • Prepare various correspondence, reports and forms related to daily activities, expenses, claims
  • Flexible and creative, with an ability to handle stress, deadlines, and financial pressures sales goals
  • Proactively develops relationships with architects, interior designers, spec writers, owners, construction managers and general contractors to increase preference and demand for H.B. Fuller products and systems
  • Launches and promotes target products and programs
  • Actively tracks projects in the early design stages to influence the specification
  • Develop Moisture Control system awareness and opportunities in the target market
  • Implement market strategy with architects, consultants, contractors and customers
  • Manage project sales from inception through manufacturing to installation
  • Maintain a designated customer and prospect database (CRM)
Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years Architectural/Specification sales experience
  • Familiar with architectural specifications, construction design elements, and able to confidently make technical recommendations
  • Enthusiastic, professional and possessing a customer-focus
  • Able to make sound business decisions and possess the ability to close a sale
  • Advanced communication, organizational, listening, and interpreting skills
  • Able to present confidently to large groups
  • Proficient in MS Office, CRM, Email, and Internet communication
  • Able to travel 50%+ in assigned geography
  • Review architectural and engineering specifications to make product recommendations
  • Develop programs and develop product training, demonstrations, and product/installation troubleshooting
