We are seeking a Licensed Architect with 5+ years of professional experience to join our Ottawa office on a full-time basis.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional with demonstrated experience delivering complex and technically challenging architectural projects. Superior proficiency in REVIT is essential, as is a strong understanding of both the Ontario Building Code (OBC) and the National Building Code (NBC). Exceptional design sensibility, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to client service are critical to success in this role.

This position requires the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining rigorous attention to quality, schedule, and technical coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop innovative design and technical solutions. Lead and support client engagement, project management, and consultant coordination activities. Conduct site investigations and prepare related reports and documentation. Prepare and deliver high-quality client presentations, including design concepts and technical drawings. Ensure construction documentation meets IDEA's QA/QC protocols and industry best practices. Integrate sustainable and energy-efficient design strategies into project solutions. Participate in internal professional development, project reviews, and "lessons learned" sessions. Maintain strong familiarity with OBC/NBC requirements and ensure compliance throughout all project phases. Demonstrate excellence in organization, time management, written and verbal communication, and design detailing. Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment while thriving in a fast-paced setting. Prioritize tasks effectively and consistently deliver results with accuracy and thoroughness. Obtain and maintain Government of Canada security clearance (mandatory).
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of relevant architectural experience. Licensed with the OAA or OAQ. Strong proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office 365. Bilingualism (English/French) considered an asset.

Pay: $65,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
