Context:

We are looking for an Architect with experience in delivering complex projects from start to finish. This is a great opportunity for a passionate and creative mind to take on dynamic and challenging projects and be part of creative design initiatives on transit projects both locally and internationally.
Missions/Main Duties:
Contribute to the process of creating and developing the fundamental design principles to guide a project from the earliest stages of its conception and continue to assist in its development and refinement through subsequent design and implementation phases. This is including, but not limited to: + site selection; + project planning;
+ programming;
+ consultant selection;
+ contract negotiations;
+ construction contract administration;
+ facilities management and maintenance;
+ Other design and construction activities as per each project requirements.
Collaborate with practice leaders and colleagues to enhance Systra Canada Transit Station & Facilities department's culture for design excellence Assist in the preparation of Business Development (BD) proposals in bidding for new work as needed.

Profile/Skills:

Education:

Bachelors degree in Architecture and Member of the Order of Architects of Quebec (OAQ).

Years of experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural design (preferably in transit and train stations/facilities).

Technical Skills:

Experience in all phases of project design development Good knowledge of building codes and specifications Experience with Revit Experience in transit station design will be considered as an asset Experience on large multidisciplinary teams will be considered as an asset Fluency in French and functional level of English in order to be able to work closely in collaboration with stakeholders in Ontario.

Personal skills:

Highly organized with the ability to manage time and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly motivated with the ability to work independently within a collaborative team Proactive and detail oriented Analytical thinker and problem solver
