Your Role:

With your skills and knowledge of arboricultural practices you will spend your days in the trees. Our work spans everything from small residential pruning jobs all the way up to large scale municipal contract work. This ensures you will always have a fresh challenge each day. Whether doing a prune or a removal, your quality workmanship and attention to details does all the speaking for you. Whether you're on the ground, aloft in a bucket or climbing to the highest tree tops, you're sure to keep an eagle eye on those around you, ensuring all PPE is worn, safety policies are followed, and that your time is spent wisely, all to ensure your job site runs smooth and cool, just like you.

What We're Looking For:

Experience & Passion: 2+ years in tree care, with a spark in your eye when you talk about trees. Licenses & Certifications: ISA certification or the ability to obtain Valid Full Class 5 Driver's Licence and the ability to obtain your Class 3 with air brakes. Pesticide applicators licence a plus. Proven experience with chainsaw safety and operation Knowledgeable and skilled in proper pruning practices, including large shade trees and ornamentals. Collaborative approach with the ability to work closely with peers, superiors and subordinates. The ability to access trees via aerial lift and/or rope and saddle Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to meet physical demands of the job, including working outdoors and lifting heavy objects when necessary The desire to learn and grow as an arborist

Work Life at TNT:

Regular Hours vary with season but expect to work Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work on an as needed basis Location: Rooted in South Winnipeg. You'll be right at the heart of where the green action is! Cost shared Benefits after 1 season PPE other than work boots is provided at start, Boot and saw pants allowance after 6 months.
Compensation:

$20-30 per hour depending on experience and qualifications
