Job Overview

The role of the Arborist in Training is critical to the overall success of the crew.

As a tree service, the main goal is to prune or remove trees, chip branches, and grind stumps. As a company, our goal is the leave people's yards beautiful and tidy.

We are seeking someone who is curious and enthusiastic with incredible attention to detail to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the desire to work outside in all weather and be a lifelong learning. This role requires a commitment to safety and environmental stewardship while providing exceptional service to our clients.

Responsibilities

Perform tree pruning, trimming, and removal using proper techniques to ensure tree health and safety. Utilize rigging techniques for safe tree removal and maintenance in various environments. Safely using tools and equipment like branch chippers, hand tools, pole saws, chainsaws, and stump grinders to carry out maintenance tasks. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including GIS mapping of trees and site conditions. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols. Ensure a hazard free work area and learn to anticipate challenges.

Requirements

Superb communication skills, with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Must be brave enough to ask questions! Experience in the landscaping or horticulture field would be a benefit. Class 5 MB Drivers License with a clear abstract MIN High School Diploma or GED Good physical strength, fitness, vision and hearing, with excellent balance and depth perception. Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 50 per week
