Job Overview:



The successful candidate for the AR/AP clerk role will be highly organized and will have strong attention to detail skills in order to ensure efficient, effective, and accurate execution of all accounting tasks. If you are hard-working, dedicated, and a go-getter, this will be the ideal position for you!

AR/AP Clerk Responsibilities:



- As AR/AP Clerk, you will report directly to the CEO, and will have overall responsibility for handling the AR/AP and book-keeping functions/operations of the Company.
- Full cycle book-keeping tasks through use of the Company's Transportation Management System and accounting software, QuickBooks Online.
- Creating invoices, bills, AR aging reports, AP aging reports, and other necessary statements/documents through use of the Company's Transportation Management System and accounting software, QuickBooks Online.
- Preparing and creating weekly payables runs.
- Assisting with and handling collections on delinquent invoices and customer accounts.
- Sending account statements to all customers.
- Liaising with the appropriate customers and vendors/suppliers.
- Responding to vendor/supplier payment inquiries in a timely manner.
- Proof of Delivery (POD) collections from the appropriate vendors/suppliers.
- Professional and effective communication and cooperation with customers, vendors/suppliers, and relevant third parties.

AR/AP Clerk Requirements:



- High school diploma/GED required.

- Degree in Accounting or related field will be preferred, but is not required.

- 2+ years of experience in an accounting role will be preferred.

- Experience utilizing QuickBooks Online is an asset.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

- Good time management skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
