If this describes you, then we would love to meet you!Reporting to Senior Director, A&R, Universal Music Canada is seeking an experienced A&R Manager (Artist & Repertoire) to join our A&R team.ResponsibilitiesIdentify repertoire, for UMC artists\xe2\x80\x99 exploitation.Responsible for representation and communication with appointed roster.Manage & coordinate full A&R lifecycle, from research to recording/production process to product release.Maintain strict quality control of products & releases.Coordinate with producer and artist management to gather label copy.Assist Senior Director with all special projects, (ie: media partnerships, seasonal music, or market specific projects).Provide efficient and effective feedback, data and assets to artists and management to help the development of artist.Oversee and be accountable for project expenditures & budgets for your artists\xe2\x80\x99 recording budgets, video, and photoshoots.Collaborate with A&R Admin to make sure all invoices for sessions, artist travel, musicians and videos are input and paid out.Provide excellent customer service both internally and externally to all stakeholders throughout the recording process.RequirementsA winning attitude and willingness to find new opportunities for our artists\xe2\x80\x99 long-term success.Able to quickly gain proficiency in the proprietary systems.Self-starter driven to build and maintain positive relationships.Team player and collaborator who will lead projects while learning with peers in various departments working toward shared success for all artists.Experience creating and leading marketing campaigns and strategies for music launches and artist development.General knowledge of all departments within a label including digital marketing, publicity, A&R, creative and radio promotion.Organized and able to prioritize under tight deadlines.Creative, innovative, detail-oriented, and resourceful.Strong written and verbal communication abilities.Experience with budget tracking and project management.Must have strong music industry relationships and vision to work with in-house and 3rd party PR, Promo, Creative and Digital Marketing teams.5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in music industry marketing.Label experience preferred.Universal Music Canada is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and strongly welcomes and encourages applications from Indigenous Peoples, people of colour, women, persons with disabilities, people who are 2SLGBTQIA+, and people from other diverse communities.
