A&R Creative Coordinator - 12 Month Contract
The UMC team works four days a week from our award-winning creative campus located in Liberty Village, Toronto, and one day to work virtually.
Reporting to the Manager, A&R Administration, the A&R Creative Coordinator will provide support to the A&R Department and will contribute to a positive work environment. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, creative and energetic individual with a passion for music.
How You'll Lead:Work with A&Rs and artist teams to compile of assets for submission including all audio from producers, mixers and mastering engineers
Work closely with A&Rs to collect, verify and compile label copy, for physical and digital releases
Organization and maintenance of UMC's internal asset file management systems
Coordinate with A&R Operations teams to ensure timely delivery of assets
Book and manage travel for the A&R Creative team
Track producer agreements, side artist agreements, and label waivers.
Administrative support for VP
Document and distribute meeting notes for the A&R team
Support artist special projects, including writing sessions, song camps, and shortlisting brainstorms
Other duties/tasks as assigned
What You Bring:Ability to successfully multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure & meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Demonstrates ability to work collaboratively, take initiative, and to identify potential issues and successfully problem solve with business deliverables in mind
Excellent administrative and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
Knowledge of today's music scene, trends and a strong understanding of the recording process
Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Slack, Monday, etc.
