Aquatic Program Coordinator

About the Employer:

The employer is Memorial University Recreation Complex (MURC). MURC was incorporated in 1995 and is responsible for operating the Field House and Aquarena as a separately incorporated entity of Memorial University.

The Works operates the Aquarena and Field House, offering a variety of aquatic, fitness and recreational programs and services. The Works Aquatic Division is seeking a dynamic leader to fill the role of Aquatic Program Coordinator. This full-time management position reports to the Manager of Aquatics.

Key Responsibilities:

The Aquatic Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the largest swimming lesson program in the province. This includes the ongoing development and delivery of The Works Aquatic Instructor training program.

Qualifications:

A degree in Physical Education/ Recreation and minor in Business or any equivalent combination of experience and training is preferred. A background in aquatics is required, supplemented by outstanding interpersonal skills, management experience or any combination of equivalent education and/or training. Current Standard First Aid, CPR and aquatic qualifications are required or candidate must be willing to obtain these qualifications.

Compensation and Benefits:
