Course Description: The purpose of this course is to develop skills in the effective conceptualization, planning, implementation and evaluation of change interventions in human systems. Behavioural science frameworks are introduced to explain and guide the practice of change in the organization. The systemic nature of change and intervention practice, including the generation and management of resistance to change, will be analyzed. Organizational change processes at the individual, team and organizational level and human system intervention efforts are considered. The importance of context is emphasized with cases of cross-cultural change, knowledge-based organizations, socio-technical change processes and system vs. cultural change analyses.

Requirements:

Must have an MBA or Master\'s degree (Ph.D. preferred) in an area directly related to change management. Must have significant applied experience and excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to successfully lead classes taken by top executives. PC-based teaching experience is an asset.
