Course Description: Examination of the knowledge and principles supporting effective teaching and learning of exceptional students; resources, strategies, processes, and interventions to better meet individual student needs; development of individualized programs based on informal and formal assessments; interpretation and communication of assessment results; modification and accommodation of expectations; legal issues pertaining to special education.
This 2d part intended to enhance professional practice and extend and apply knowledge and skills in the design and delivery of Special Education course.

Requirements:
The salary will be based on student enrollment.

• Master's degree in education.
• Specialist qualification in Special Education.
• Recent experience in teaching full time in a school or working in administration for a School Board.
• Two years experience of implementing the Ontario Curriculum in Special Education.
• Confirmation of qualification update in Special Education.
• Capability of applying the Ethical Standards and the Standards of Practice of the Teaching Profession.
