Course Description: Critical examination through reading, research, and discussion of a particular area in communication studies.

Topic: Law, Culture and Communication (This course will introduce you to intersections between law, culture and communication. You will examine how the law, legal system, and players in the legal system are constructed in culture, with a focus on representations in the media, and the impact of these constructions on public perceptions of the law. Other topics may include state regulation of culture, the impact of culture on law, and legal culture).

PH.D. or M.A. in communication with professional experience in communication or related discipline. Specialization or teaching experience in the subject matter is recommended.
