Terus Construction is a leader in the construction industry in British Columbia and the Yukon Territory. This is a full-time position . Overtime/Weekend work is expected from May to October.Reporting to the Concrete Supervisor, you will provide support to complete daily repairs and preventive maintenance and perform related assigned tasks and duties under limited supervision. Travel to operations and project sites will be required.Job SummaryThe Heavy-Duty Mechanic will be required to perform repairs and maintenance on all types of Heavy Equipment - On / Off road, Pickups, Construction tools as well as concrete plants and facilities.Duties / Tasks:\xc2\xb7 Safely perform equipment repairs and preventive maintenance in a timely manner.\xc2\xb7 Assist in completing all maintenance inspections.\xc2\xb7 Complete work orders and proper documentation of repairs and maintenance\xc2\xb7 Assess, record and report any equipment deficiencies\xc2\xb7 Support mobile work crews and business functions in a variety of tasksQualifications/ Experience:\xc2\xb7 Minimum 3-5 years experience as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic\xc2\xb7 Strong technical knowledge and mechanical aptitude to perform service on various equipment ranging from heavy duty equipment to small engine and tools.\xc2\xb7 Ability to work independently with minimal direction\xc2\xb7 Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics and hydrostatic systems\xc2\xb7 Attention to detail and the ability to multitask\xc2\xb7 Team player- common goal orientedRequirements\xc2\xb7 Must be able to work according to all company safety policies and procedures.\xc2\xb7 Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required.\xc2\xb7 Must comply with the company\'s drug and alcohol policy, including pre-employment testing requirements.\xc2\xb7 Must comply with all company policies.\xc2\xb7 Valid drivers license, heavy trailer endorsement or airbrakes considered an assetWe offer a competitive compensation package with a comprehensive benefit plan and a registered pension plan.
