Full Time Apprentice Technician

We are looking for a RockStar Technician to work with our team. We will support your progression through the Block Program, while providing guaranteed raises with each Apprentice block you complete.

Job Summary: The Apprentice is a Technician in training who assists the General and Diagnostic Technicians and performs minor maintenance and tire work as required. They are focused on being an excellent team member, learning and preparing for completion of their blocks and assisting with maintaining an orderly operation in the Service Department.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Knowledge of basic automotive systems and ability to explain systems and repairs to others;
  • Maintains communication with Service Consultants and Parts Department;
  • Knowledge of approved and established procedures for conducting service and repairs;
  • Accurately documents repairs performed on completed customer service orders;
  • Attends technical training schools, reads and understands service manuals, technical bulletins, etc;
  • Complies with quality control and inspection requirements of the Service Department;
  • Identifies and proactively brings all recommended or needed repair / maintenance items to prompt attention of Service Advisor and / or Department Manager;
  • Conducts routine service on vehicles and completing repairs on customer vehicles;
  • Is detail-oriented and writes on work order repairs completed, parts required and labor to be charged;
  • Notes and records work completed on all work orders;
  • Documents vehicle problems that were noted during servicing;
  • Endeavors to promote harmony and a team spirit with all other departments;
  • Works independently, managing his or her time and work flow.

Competencies:
  • Apprentice program acceptance;
  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record;
  • Desire to learn and comprehend diagnostic service information including wiring diagrams;
  • Basic Computer Skills;
  • Knowledge of and ability to use service shop equipment;
  • Detail-oriented;
  • Good problem solving capabilities;
  • Ability to work independently.
