Position Summary

The Automotive Apprentice assists licensed Technicians in the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of vehicles. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, has a passion for the automotive industry, and is working toward obtaining their Red Seal certification. The apprentice will receive hands-on training in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist technicians in performing vehicle maintenance and repairs, including oil changes, brake service, tire rotations, and other mechanical work. Conduct basic inspections and record findings accurately. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Use proper tools and equipment while following safety and dealership procedures. Support the service team in ensuring customer vehicles are repaired efficiently and correctly. Participate in ongoing training, both on-the-job and through apprenticeship schooling. Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors regarding work performed and any additional repairs needed. Follow all manufacturer guidelines and dealership policies.

Qualifications & Requirements

Registered or eligible to register as an Automotive Service Technician Apprentice. Basic mechanical knowledge and a strong interest in automotive repair. Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions. Willingness to learn and grow within the trade. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
