Summary With over 150 years of combined plumbing and heating experience, J&R Mechanical Ltd. is Yellowknife\xe2\x80\x99s longest-running, locally owned and operated mechanical contractor. We are looking for full-time tradespeople to join our growing team in Yellowknife, NT! J&R Mechanical is currently looking for the following positions:

• Apprentice Plumbers

• There will be overtime hours on a regular basis, the possibility of a company supplied vehicle and phone and some tools supplied depending on the role hired for. More to be discussed during the recruitment process.

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform all expected duties of your trade in relation to customer needs and requests as directed by your supervisor.
• Demonstrate commitment to a safe workplace by following all health and safety protocols and company rules.

You will also be required to\xe2\x80\xa6

• Complete all tasks with high attention to detail and quality.
• Consistently complete tasks on time.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Walk, bend, and kneel constantly throughout the day.
• Operate tools and equipment related to your trade.
• Travel within Yellowknife and surrounding area.
• Work in a fast-paced, busy environment.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications

• All levels of experience in the plumbing, heating and mechanical industry is an asset.
• Having both commercial and residential experience is considered an asset.
• Fit for duty, and able to lift to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
• Safety-conscious.

• 8-10 Regular Hour Per Shift
• Overtime Hours Evenings & Weekends
• On Call Available If Desired
• Monday to Friday with Weekend Work Available
